Known as red Kuri squash or Hokkaido pumpkin is that pumpkin a typical autumn seasonal food. The orange/red flash has a very delicate and mellow chestnut-like flavour. Recipe: Cheese Scones

Scones are a classic baking product in New Zealand. The English do them too, but I learned to love them by the Kiwis. As a meal or while tea time –  scones with or without a lot of butter are typical. The more cheese the better they are. I did not realize how much I missed them until my mom showed me a pic of them.
